Folk Dance Ensemble VENTA

"Venta", the Folk Dance Ensemble of Kuldīga District Municipality Agency “Kuldīga Culture Centre”, was founded in 1963, in Kuldīga. Since 1998, the artistic director of the ensemble is Zita Serdante whose relentless energy and directness has driven the growth of many fantastic and strong dancers. Assistants to the ensemble – Agate Hartmane and Ance Bulava.
Repertoire of "Venta" goes beyond the traditional stage dance. The ensemble has been cooperating with a Georgian choreographer for several years now, also two contemporary dance showcases have been created (choreographer Gunta Liepiņa).
The ensemble has participated in different festivals and contests in Georgia, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey etc.
