Kyrenia Youth Centre Folk Dance Group

Kyrenia Youth Centre Folk Dance Group was established in 1987 with an aim to educate Turkish youth about their own folk history. At present the group consists of over four hundred members in three age ranges (juniors, teenagers and seniors), and it is led by the artistic director Özlem Kadirağa.
The Cyprus Turkish Folk Dance Federation Folk Dance Ensemble has represented Norther Cyprus both at national and international folk dance festivals and competitions receiving over 50 awards, among them the First Award of the International Folk Dance Competition “The Golden Carnation” in Yalova, Turkey.
